Bielby Holdings has completed a major upgrade to a 3.5-kilometre section of the M1 between Sports Drive and the Gateway Motorway. This is the first package of work within the broader $750 million, eight-kilometre M1 Eight Mile Plains to Daisy Hill project.
All five lanes of the upgraded motorway between Sports Drive and Gateway Motorway are now open to traffic, improving travel times and flow for users. The V1 Veloway extension from the Gateway Motorway to Camelot Park, with connections at Logan Road, Underwood Road and Maureen Street is also complete and open for bike riders.
Bielby Holding’s Adam Edwards congratulated the project team on their efforts, “We are delighted to have successfully delivered a vital section of critical road infrastructure that supports the movement of people and goods along one of Queensland’s major motorways. I want to thank the entire Sports Drive to Gateway Motorway team for their efforts and hard work delivering another successful project.”[gallery columns="4" size="medium" link="none" ids="1628,1629,1630,1631,1632,1633,1634"]
