The project included safety and flood resilience upgrades to 13.5km of the Bruce Highway at Giru (midway between Ayr and Townsville) and the construction of 5 bridges and 2 cane rail overpasses, upgrades to intersections and the installation of wide centreline treatments.

Bielby Holdings’ Managing Director Adam Edwards welcomed the award win, “We are thrilled to have won the 2021 QMCA Award for the best project in Queensland valued at over $100 million. I would like to thank QMCA for hosting the awards and the judging panel for their support of our project.”

“I would like to thank our Infrastructure Group Partners, BMD, JF Hull and Albem and client Transport and Main Roads for their collaboration and positive approach to a hugely successful project.”

“But the biggest vote of thanks must go to the entire Project team. Your skill, expertise, passion, and commitment to delivering world-class infrastructure solutions set the foundation for this outstanding achievement. Congratulations,” said Mr Edwards.
