The Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Accountant who will be an essential business partner between the group finance and project teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, supporting, and, in some instances directly managing the financial project controls activities that occur throughout a project lifecycle.

This role is integral in the start-up of new projects to ensure implementation of financial reporting standard and consistency across the group, as well as the ongoing review and support of multiple projects to ensure the accuracy of the financial information of the project and monitor and provide input to the project financial components such as budget, forecast, cost control, and payment claims.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or Business Management
  • Experience in project budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling
  • Experience in project cost control, and development of financial reports and analysis
  • Sound knowledge of project accounting principles
  • Advanced MS Office skill ie. Excel
  • Minimum 5 years industrial experience
  • CA or CPA qualified or part qualified desirable.
  • Strong management, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Highly developed verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to travel and visit work sites as required.
